From the menu revisions in the 5 Bridges Steak & Seafood House to the recent opening of Signature Subs & Pizza inside of the Island Oasis Convenience Store, the talented team of individuals that comprise our F&B Department are constantly looking to “Up the Ante” when it comes to your dining experience. Perhaps one of the most notable additions (or changes if you must) occurred back in February of 2013 when the 5 Bridges Pub/ Steak & Seafood House acquired licensing rights to the Certified Angus Beef® brand.
The Certified Angus Beef® brand is very dominant in the 5 Bridges Pub Menu as well as the 5 Bridges Steak & Seafood House Menu. Although guests may not necessarily realize it at first, many selections contain elements of the Certified Angus Beef® brand product line.

  • Modest or higher marbling
  • Medium or fine marbling texture
  • “A” maturity for each, lean and skeletal characteristics – cattle harvested younger than approximately 30 months of age
  • 10 to 16 square inch ribeye area
  • Less than 1,000 pound hot carcass weight
  • Less than 1 inch fat thickness
  • Superior muscling restricts influence of dairy cattle
  • Practically free of capillary rupture ensures quality appearance
  • No dark cutters ensures consistent appearance and flavor
  • No neck hump exceeding 2 inches safeguards against Brahman cattle-influence which have more variation in tenderness

The “Culinary Experts” of the 5 Bridges Steak & Seafood House, have embraced the Certified Angus Beef® brand since its acquisition in February of 2013. The product line is intricately woven into menu selections and heavily promoted through the restaurant’s “featured specials”. Mark Cardinal, Executive Chef for the 5 Bridges Steak & Seafood House believes that “high quality ingredients make for high quality selections and that the alignment of our beliefs along with those of the brand, allow our guests to experience a whole new level of dining”.

Porterhouse SteakWhen the product brand was initially “tested” in the 5 Bridges Steak & Seafood House in late December of 2012, it received rave reviews. A gentleman and his wife who were visiting the resort from Wisconsin were so impressed with their steaks that they were compelled to submit the following comment form:
“I don’t normally do this but, my wife and I had the most enjoyable dining experience at your Five Bridges Supper Club this evening. The service was exceptional and the Porterhouse steak was the BEST I have EVER had. Your Supper Club is the BEST KEPT SECRET in the North Woods. Don’t change a thing – we are looking forward to returning as soon as possible”.
