Classic country is coming back to life at the Island this October.
Island Resort & Casino and Radio Results Network are bringing two celebrations of legendary country music to the Island Showroom. Branson on the Road: Classic Country takes the stage Friday, October 9th, followed by David Church: The Spirit of Hank Williams on Saturday, October 10th.
Each show offers a different journey through country music history, from the high-energy sound and family-friendly fun of a Branson production to an authentic tribute to one of country music’s most influential voices. Tickets are just $20 per show and are on sale now through the Island Showroom.
Take the Road to Branson
You don’t have to travel all the way to Missouri to enjoy the excitement of a Branson stage show.
Branson on the Road: Classic Country brings the Branson experience directly to the Island Showroom on Friday, October 9th. The nationally touring production combines accomplished musicians, dazzling costumes and family-friendly comedy with a high-energy mix of country, bluegrass, rockabilly, gospel and classic favorites.
Producer and director Debbie Horton leads the show. Horton holds the distinction of being the only woman to perform as lead guitarist for Johnny Cash. She is joined by multi-instrumentalist and Nashville songwriter Adam Pope.
The idea behind the show is simple: bring the music, humor and welcoming atmosphere of Branson to audiences who may not have the opportunity to experience it in person.
For a couple of hours, guests can leave their worries behind, laugh, sing along and enjoy the kind of classic country variety show that rarely makes its way this far north.
Long Gone Lonesome Blues Come Alive

On Saturday, October 10th, David Church steps into the spotlight with The Spirit of Hank Williams.
Church has earned a loyal following for his vocal resemblance to Hank Williams Sr., nostalgic stage presence and genuine respect for traditional country music. Rather than simply performing a collection of familiar songs, he recreates the sound, energy and honky-tonk spirit that made Williams one of country music’s enduring legends.
Church has been one of the most requested tribute artists on RFD-TV and has appeared regularly on “Midwest Country” with his wife, Terri Lisa Church, for the past 18 years. His performances move from the unmistakable music of Hank Williams to Church’s own roots-inspired and retro-country songs.
For longtime Hank Williams fans, it’s a chance to hear those timeless songs brought to life onstage. For newer country listeners, it’s an introduction to the sound that helped shape generations of artists.
