The Beach Band Jimmy Buffet Hired “On the Spot”
The Landsharks have combed beaches across the globe delivering their high-octane musical cocktail to thirsty crowds everywhere.
When their dingy arrived in Key West to rock the conch off a Florida festival, Capt. Jimmy Buffet himself joined them on stage. Buffet was so impressed with the group’s ability and attitude he proclaimed:
“The Landsharks are showmen. They’re a fun band. Funny thing was, The Landsharks knew the songs better than I did. And I loved some of their arrangements.”
The Landsharks were hired then and there to be the house band for the Margaritaville Café at Universal Studios, where they played the grand opening with Buffet.
