What Is the TITO Program?
The Ticket-In Ticket-Out (TITO) system makes it easy for players to print and redeem slot credits. As part of this initiative, guests have the option to donate the spare change from their cash-out ticket to a local nonprofit organization.
If a guest chooses to donate, that small amount is collected and passed along to a designated charity. If they prefer not to donate, they simply receive their ticket as usual and can redeem it with a cashier. Machines dispense full dollars only, no change, so to receive any amount less than a full dollar, guests must take their remaining amount on their ticket to the cashier.
Supporting Local Charities Like Delta Animal Shelter
One of the recent beneficiaries of this program was the Delta Animal Shelter, a vital resource in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula that provides care, shelter, and adoption services for animals in need. Through generous guest donations, the Island was able to contribute $10,443.89, helping the shelter continue its life-saving work.
