From Farmington, MI, comes Teddy Petty and The Refugees. Teddy, aka Ted VanDerMaas, is a performer whose dedication to recreating Tom Petty’s unique voice and sound make him one of the best impersonators in the world. Ted is joined by The Refugees: Vango Kafflo on drums, Mark Miller on bass, Ronny Klingenberg on lead guitar and PJ Cruz on keyboards.
Together, these talented Michiganians recreate all the power and passion of a Tom Petty show. They not only cover the songs but they deliver an experience complete with the smooth guitar tones, layered vocals and iconic Rickenbacker guitar that made Tom Petty’s concerts a special occasion for fans.

Few American singer/songwriters can top the legacy Tom Petty left behind. He recorded 16 albums with The Heartbreakers and three solo albums on his own. Ten of those records went gold and nine of them platinum. He teamed up with George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison and Jeff Lyne for two Traveling Wilburys records that also went platinum.
Petty is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, Billboard Century Award winner, Gershwin Award winner and Musicares person of the year. He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the key to the city of Gainesville, Florida, where he was born.
