The Wizards of Winter will bring their holiday rock opera “A Christmas Dream” to the Island Showroom on December 13 and 14, 2019. From ballads to prog-metal, this 12-piece ensemble features soaring vocal harmonies layered around a rich holiday story that evokes Decembers past, present and future.

The Wizards of Winter began as a charitable side project and have grown into a spectacular holiday tradition. For 10 years, they have built a musical stage extravaganza that fuses the energy of rock with the emotion of Christmas.

The musicianship was some of the tightest musicianship I have ever seen, and if you’re a fan of Trans-Siberian Orchestra or Mannheim Steamroller, then The Wizards Of Winter could be your new annual Christmas tradition. There were two-hour long sets with a ten minute intermission in between the sets. The performance led by Scott Kelly as musical director immediately left me awestruck, he made sure that the audience was clapping, singing along, and having a good time at the show. The audience was a diverse array from children to my generation to the elderly, and they all were moved and captivated by the performance.”

About the Wizards of Winter
The Wizards of Winter was formed by Scott and Sharon Kelly in the winter of 2009. They wanted a way to give back to the band’s hometown community food shelf. Along with an enthusiastic group of friends, they were able to help replenish the depleted stocks and spread holiday cheer.
Recruiting musicians from the music and rock community including members of The Trans-Siberian Orchestra, The Irish Tenors, Blue Oyster Cult, Rainbow and Alice Cooper, The Wizards of Winter continue to awe audiences. They have produced three albums of original, holiday-themed music. The Wizards are excited to bring their ambitious new tour and most elaborate stage production to the Island Resort & Casino this holiday season.
