You’ll Be a Believer

This May, he brings his all-star Neil Diamond tribute to the Island stage. You’ll get a complete, multi-media experience with a full band and, of course, all of Neil’s greatest hits. You’ll hear “Cracklin’ Rosie,” “Sweet Caroline,” “Forever in Blue Jeans” and more.

You’ve Got a Friend (or Three)

James Taylor, Carly Simon and Carole King are three of the most iconic singer/songwriters of the ’60s and ’70s. Their contagious blend of pop, rock, country and folk spawned a genre that survives six decades later.

By layering strong acoustic melodies, sophisticated vocal harmonies and deep, personal lyrics, they appealed to a maturing album-oriented radio audience. Combined, the trio has sold close to 200 million records worldwide. They’ve also garnered Grammys, Academy Awards and multiple Hall of Fame nominations.

Carole King is best known for her groundbreaking Tapestry album, which contains fan favorites “I Feel the Earth Move,” “You’ve Got a Friend” and “It’s Too Late.”  She is also the co-author of over 100 hit songs for other artists, including The Shireles, Aretha Franklin and Little Eva.

Carly Simon epitomized the confident woman of the 1970s. Her music career began as a folk duo with her sister Lucy; then, in 1971, her self-titled album won the Grammy for Best New Artist. Her second album, No Secrets, contains the hit “You’re So Vain.” She’s also known for one of the best James Bond theme songs, “Nobody Does It Better.”

James Taylor’s warm baritone voice has won him dedicated fans worldwide. He was the first artist to have a Billboard Top 10 album in six consecutive decades. Songs like “Fire and Rain,” “Carolina on My Mind” and “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)” are imprinted on the American psyche and have taken on a life of their own.
